First on-line assessment exersie for 2009

Dear Parents

The first on-line assessment exercise for 2009 will be conducted during the Mar hols. Subject teachers will brief students accordingly based on their subject requirements. Students are advised to stick to their stipulated day based on their level. 10% of the marks will be computed into their CA 1.

A slight ammendment to the dates of the Mar online assessment. Also do take note that these days are recommended days to ease online traffic. The tests will be open for a few days. Also hard copies of parents letter were given out this morning.

Updates from Form Teacher, Ms Izyan

1. As common test ends today, CCA will resume today as well.

2. Speech Day - Some pupils may involved in the Speech Day Rehearsals and the rehearsals dates are as follows: 4/3/09, 11/3/09, 25/3/09 and 1/4/09. Time: 3pm - 6pm (End time is tentative)

3. Sec 1E2 Learning Journey. Details as follows:
Activitiy: Visit to Singapore History Museum
Venue: Singapore History Museum
Time: 1500 hrs to 1830 hrs
[Actual visit hours at the Museum is 2 hours: 1 hour for History Gallery (guided), 1 hour for Living Gallery (interactive, free & easy tour).]
> Consent forms will be given tomorrow during Form Teacher period.
> Perhaps we can even have a Parent Volunteer to come along if anyone is interested.

Literature Common Test

Dear Parents of Sec 1Express,

For the upcoming literature common test, the students will be tested in the form of a diary entry. They need to read through chapters 1 to 5 of their literature text book carefully. They will be required to write an entry as one of the characters in the book. This CT will be 50% of their CA1.

Common Test 1

The time-table for Common Test One is already out. CT1 starts on 26 Feb and ends on 3 Mar. The duration of all papers is 50 mins. There will be 2 papers each day. First paper starts 7.40 am till 8.30 am. Normal lessons resume until 11.00 am. Students sit for second paper at 11.05 am.
