H1N1 - More updates on 29 June 09 (First day of Term 3)

Dear Parents

On Mon 29 June, the school has come up with procedures to ensure the safety of our students and staff.

They are:
1. No cars are allowed into the sch compound. Plse alight outside the school.
2. The rear gates will also be closed so that there will be only one entry point into the sch. Plse ensure that your child / ward has ample time to reach school if he / she walks from the back.
3. Please remind your child / ward to bring his / her ODT - everyday.
4. Submit the updated Travel Declaration Form to the form teacher. This form is available at www.bedokviewsec. moe.edu.sg4. No CCA activities will be conducted during the week. Sch personnel will be on duty at the gate, foyer area etc. to ensure the smooth running of the screening process.Any inconvenience caused is regretted and thank you for your cooperation.

Dear All,

The mid-year examination for Secondary 1 to 3 students will officially end on Friday, 15 May 2009.

Please be informed that:
1) School will resume as per normal timetable from Tuesday, 19 May toThursday, 28 May.
2) Monday, 18 May, is an E-Learning Day for all Secondary 1 to 3 students. (Ref: 201/09)
3) Friday, 29 May, is Meet the Parents Day for all Secondary 1 to 5 students.
4) A schedule of enrichment activities from 18 to 29 May is attached for your reference.
5) The Secondary 2 CIP activity: Distribution of Flyer for Newspaper Collection has been brought forward from Friday, 22 May, to Thursday, 21 May. There will be no change to the Timing and Venue. Please contact Ms Ong Lay Kheng at 64430563 Ext 034 for any clarification.

A notification letter (Ref 202/09), together with the schedule of enrichment activities have been issued to the students this morning. A copy of the letter and schedule has been uploaded in the folder 'Mid Year Post-Examination 2009' for your reference.

E-Learning Day

Dear Parents

The E-Learning Day will be held on the 18 May for the Sec 1, 2 and 3 students.On this day, the students will stay at home and do online learning assign to them via their respective subject teachers.

Your child will receive instructions from them. The e-learning will be despatched via Litespeed. With recent happenings of the H1N1 virus etc. it is important that our students are ready and familiar with online learning. Thank you for your support.

Temperature Taking Exercise

Dear parent/Guardian

Bedok View Sec had conducted the temperature taking exercise this morning as part of the measures to maintain schools’ preparedness to resume the temperature-taking regime should there be a need to. Repeated exercises serve to reinforce in students the importance of developing a habit of taking personal responsibility for their own health and exercising social responsibility for the health of others.

As such there will be another temperature-taking exercise to be conducted on Monday, 4 May 2009 in Bedok View Secondary.

We seek your help in ensuring that your child bring his/her personal Oral Digital Thermometer to school on each day that he/she reports to school. This will facilitate the conduct of temperature taking at short notice should there be a need to.

Stand down of CCA

Dear Parents/Guardian

Please note that CCA will stand down from 20 April (Mon) to 15 May (Fri) for all in view of Mid Year Examination.

However, for the week of 20 April to 24 April, there are still competitions for a few groups like the Angklung Ensemble, Choir and Netball. Otherwise, there should be no CCA.

Dear Parents,

The Parentlink newsletter has been uploaded in the files section. There are many updates on the happenings and developments in the school since the last issue. A hardcopy of the newsletter has been issued to all students, for them to pass to their parents.
